The Transformative Power Of Sound Therapy In Stress Management

Sound healing therapy has been gaining more gravitas in our large and developing medical community and its impact appears to be widespread. From the application in-clinic to the use from practitioner to practitioner, more holistic approaches to healing are being accepted, especially when outcomes can be substantial. As an alternative therapy approach, in isolation or utilized in common with other therapeutic approaches, sound healing has aided in a number of my patients’ recoveries. A large component of my clinical practice centers around the rehabilitation of individuals who have sustained a concussion or mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI). Utilizing sound therapy, with and without other treatment modalities in clinical and in-home settings has aided in their holistic recovery by reducing anxiety and Kinesiophobia. Sentiments from patients have described the experience had allowed them to achieve a “free state” to take on rehabilitation exercises day after day despite the recovery process being long and enduring.
